All The Fixings

End of day 15!

End of day 16!

We did a grout test today with four different colour options, charcoal won.

The artist, Joe Wilson came to the work site today!

We are installing our mosaic on a bigger area than originally planned so we have to expand the mosaic. In order to maintain the placing style, we have to cut and add to the middle, instead of adding rows around the edges.

Lots and lots of fixes!

Because of all the alterations we're doing, we need to remesh a lot of pieces. End of day 17!

Two Weeks In

Cleaning out the seams.
Our plastic once it's removed from the mosaic.

After this piece goes in, the male and female face will be complete.

End of day 14!

Filling in the gaps.

Because of all the corrections and fittings, some of the mesh needs to be replaced.

Doing corrections is much easier with gravity on our side.

End of day 13!
From the delicious cupcake shop across from us.

Almost fine refers to the level of the cement to make the mosaic flush.

It's been very hot lately so we needed some vents in our tents!

End of day 12!

Mike's mixing station.

Mike uses a hammer and a piece of wood to pound the piece in. Without the wood you would hit individual pieces making them shift and buckle.

Cracks in the Seam

Right now we are concentrating on making the mosaic fit properly.

With some minor alterations to the piece!

A little bit of alterations on our useful work table!

Mike and Ferrucio continue to level out the cement

End of day 10!

A Room With a View

That oddly looks like Kate from Texas!

Using the top of the crate and scrap they found in the garbage, Mike and Matt made us a work table!
End of day 9!

Upwards to Day Eight

Bumper to bumper traffic jam.

Scraping!
