First Day of Many

Over a week before we started, they prepared to pour the cement

Once the cement was poured, they hooked up the water jets/light circles

This fountain is going to be surrounded by grass and benches

Despite their best efforts,  the cement is not even around the jets.  We have to chisel away cement or add cement to make our glass tile flush against the jets.

This is Mike using a grinder to lower the hight spots.

And this is Mike adding cement to elevate the low spots.

Mosaika's Pop-up in Uptown

To keep our mosaic secret and to protect it from rain, they are building us a shelter.

Mike's new boots came with removable lifts.

The great thing about working on the ground is that you can see how it fits before proceeding to install!

We need to make sure the jets will be in the center of the circles in the mosaic

Their circles are 2 inches bigger than the plan so we need to do some alterations.
